Family house in Šestajovice

Realized in 2011

The family house is situated on the site in a quite unusual position that is determined by the local context. It is also due to the effort to maximize the open, undeveloped and well insolated garden area. The gently sloping construction site is wedged in the intersection of the adjacent streets. The L-shaped family house is placed to the north-western corner of the plot to the edge of the crossroads. Thanks to this location the garden area is maximized. Also the garden itself is protected by the mass of the house. The street side of the house makes the impression of the wall and defines by its volume the street space. It also freely follows the walls on the opposite side of the street.
